Hi. Thank you for reading this. I am a 46 yo female. I fell and broke my rotator cuff in Feb. I had the surgery to fix it and my shoulder is pretty good. However my pain never went away and went back to presurgery levels. I had a cat scan and was told all of the discs in my neck have cervical stenosis. I have an appt with a nuerological surgeon on 4-10. On May 1st my insurance goes to cobra rates because my job will have terminated me due to having no more time off from work left. I can not see any way I can eat and have insurance so I have to fix this by May 1st and then recover by May 20th so I can get my job back with my same benefits in tact. My insurance has a 2 yr preexisting conditions clause. If I can go back by May 20th I keep my pay senority and beneifts. So I need to fix this fast . My symptoms are as follows. If I use my hand for anything I have sharp pains that go down my arm in a straight line I can trace. Where that pain stops ,on the other side of my arm it starts but instead of hurting, that side spams like it is having a seizure. My middle finger, then my index finger and the bottom of my palm then start tinging painfully like it was asleep and it is trying to wake up. If I do any activity like sitting in a chair or washing dishes I hurt so bad I can not get out of bed for a day. I have pain in my shoulder blade that goes up my neck to where the discs are and I am essentially incapacitated. I also can turn my neck and hear it pop like my knuckles do. My lower back also does this. Any suggestions or thoughts for when I see the nuroesurgeon? My husband is an RN and he says a surgeon will think like a surgeon and want to cut me to fix it. I am willing to go to physical therapy but I am in so much pain I don't even see how that is possible in any way shape or form at this time. Once again thank you for listening I don't know what to do.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
