I fell my feet went up and I came down really hard I sustained a concussion and my elbo struck an object extremely hard. I have been having problems with my right elbow. it aches and my ring finger and little finger fall asleep alot as does the bottom of my hand. I had an EMG and it was positive for ulnar nerve entrapment and The orthepedic sergon tryed some non surgical treatment my symptoms are getting worse and he now recommends surgery. ( submusular ulnar nerve transposition) My arm was fine until I fell? how can a fall cause this type of injury? Nothing was broke.

  • The short of it is that yes it can happen. You hit your elbow hard enough to shift the position of the nerve from its normal location or you shifted another part of your elbow to pinch the nerve. Nothing was broke. You have billions of nerves in your body, and falling on a body part can cause shift opf the placement of various things in our body's. Have you ever experienced a pinched nerve in your back near your shoulder blade? These are quite common, and i've had it a couple of times. Sometimes nerves get pinched. If you don't get the surgery done, you could have permanent damage to this nerve resulting in you having those feelings for the rest of your life. Stop delaying.
