A few months ago, my boyfriend got a pain in his chest that over the couple months got worse. The doctors had no idea what it was considering his chest MRI came back negative and so did blood work. They said chances are that he tore a lining in his chest which caused a viral infection. He soon after started to get swollen lymphnodes on the right side of his neck (the same side his chest pain was on). They tested him from everything from mono to pneumonia and tried all kinds of meds. Only pain killers helped. Then weirdly, in December, it went away. Then recently, the pain started to come back again. It is now very worse in the right side of his neck and his chest pain has returned. He also has a lump in his mouth, right behind his teeth which the doctor said is not an absess. He also has headaches a little bit. The pain is off and on but no one can tell him what it is. We are getting scared because these are symptoms of cancer but at the same time, they are symptoms of tons of other possible things as well, like viral infections or bacterial infections. Can someone please help and maybe tell us what this is??
