Hello there, I'm a 44 year old mail who was diagnosed with PTSD at 17 after years of multiple abuse. My axis I is anxiety and have been diagnosed from PTSD to ADHD including Bipolar, Major depressive disorder, and Borderline Personality. My major symptoms are most related to Anxiety, specifically PTSD. I've also dissociated significantly. I was a teacher for students with significant behavioral disorders for 12 years. The thoughts in my head are anxious and role from one scenario to another for example; I see a red car ten it turns into a thought about an ex girlfriend who had a red car, then to what went wrong and so on. Everything I want to say runs through my head 2-3 times before I say it. My speech is pressured and have to remind myself to exhale sometimes. And I'm always tense and have to sit with my weight on my toes or my jaw clenched. My hope is to hear about people and treatments for the tension and I feel my thoughts are related to the tension. I'm taking Lexapro and have take a dozen other combinations of meds. Adderall has helped stop the overlapping thoughts been I tend to over focus on one thing. I truly appreciate any input, related stories, and treatment successes. Jrexford1
