My father this morning around 5am began vomiting. He was in the bathroom on his knees for a whole hour, vomiting. At first, he vomited food, but now all it is is phlegm. He says he only has to move a little bit and then he is suddenly very dizzy and nauseated, and he has no sense of balance and has to crawl to the bathroom to vomit more.
I was thinking of a few possibilities. My mom told me to look up symptoms of Swine flu and West Nile. I also found a disease I'd never heard of before, BPPV. That basically seems to describe what he is experiencing. But I am not completely positive. I don't think he had a head trauma, and he is 62 years old. Should he go to the doctor? I'm not sure if we can bring him to a doctor because he doesn't have health insurance. I want to figure this out and make sure it is nothing contagious and see what we can do to help him.
