I am 31 years old and for the last two years I have severe nausea, joint pain and swelling, chronic migraines, reoccuring abdominal pain, dizziness, muscle weakness, and several other symptoms every single day. I have been to many specialist and all they have come up with is Fibromialga, athritis, and chronic migraines, and an undiagnosed stomach problem. I feel like they are missing something. I can't get any relief with what they have tried with meds or anything else. I can no longer work. I have been tested for Crohns, lupus, celiac disease and many other things with all tests coming up negatively. My inflammation test comes back elavated they believe its due to the fibromialga. I am frustrated and scared that they will never figure it out. Please help

  • "joint pain and swelling" You were refering to swelling joints werent you there? or do you get swellng also elsewhere?? Fibromyaliga dont usually involve swelling! or inflamation... Hence why i guess the doctors have had to say arthritis as well. Ones with fibro thou are more prone to migraines and irritable bowel syndrome (could IBS be part of your tummy issues eg the abdomenal pain?? thou as far as im aware...that dont cause severe nausea)................... "and several other symptoms every single day. " Im guessing here.. You also have memory and concentration issues, sleeping issues??? (they all go along with fibro .... anything else? I'd like to hear what other symptoms exactly you are getting??? Does exercise make your symptoms worst????? or bring them on more??? or does it help?

  • I have been checked for IBS and it as negative yes i have OA arthritis along with fibro. I have to promethazine everyday 6 times a day just to keep fluids down. I am allergic to so many meds i can't take anything for all the pain. The stomach thing is my biggest issue for me cuz I throw up all the time even with the meds alot of times it keeps me in my house all the time. Yes i do have trouble sleeping but I deal with it. They just aren't finding something. I can feel it. I tested positive for Lupus once but after more blood work it was negative. Yes exercise or even moving around to much I have a tendacy to faint with more then 20 mins of activity. I have fevers alot that are unexplained hearing loss that has been documented. I also suffer tingling in different ares of the body and some days just an all over strange feeling. I have loss of balance along with having troulbe holding things in my hands. My cortisol level jumps up and down so I have had a major weight gain in a very short time span. My adrenal function is fine though. I get worse everyday and there are days my husband is scared to go to work cuz i wake up in such bad shape he is scared its killing me and somedays i feel like that too.

  • Unfortunately, false negatives are common with celiac in about 5% of cases. Push to have HLA testing for DQ2 and DQ8. This is a genetic test that can show celiac tendency when EMA and ITg tests are negative. It doesn't prove you have celiac, but with symptoms and positive HLA typing, celiac is still a strong possibility. Ask to try an eliminaiton diet.

  • I was just going to post my father's similar condition, but without the medical history. He has been suffering from nausea for many years, I don't remember him ever not not having it. But for a period of months, there was one south American Dr. who identified his condition as enviromentally caused -the water- in my dad's case. Put my dad on antibiotics, than diet, natural remedies and Lactobacillus acidofillus; my dad felt better.
