Technique: multiplanar T1 and T2 weighted imaging of the lunmabr spine was performed without IV contrast
At L!-2 and L@-3, small Schmorl's nodes are noted ,causeing indentations on the adjacent inferior endplates.
At L3-4 there is a disk desiccation, along with mild deffuse disk bulge and a small intervertebral disk herniation component, causing indentations on the adjacent endplate and aasmall focus of the subchondral cyst.
At L4-5 there is a disk desiccation throughout, along the mild diffues disk bulge and a more focal central disk protrusion caising indentation on the ventral thecal sac. there is also some indentation on the adjacent endplate by the disk
At L5-S1 the disk is unremarkable
1. Multilevel mild degenerative disk changes at T11-12 and almost all the levels in the lumbar spine, witha more focal central disk protrusion and the mild diffuese disk bulge at L4-5 level, causing indentation on the ventral thecal sac. no spine canal stenosis or significant neural foraminal narrowing
2. Given the appearance of the multilevel small schmorl's nodes, further evaluation of the thoracic spine with a plain radiograph or MRI, can be considered to assess the interverttebrak disks and to exclude the possibility of scheurman's disease. (depending on the duration of the backpain, even though this is seen in a slightly younger age group.)
