I have been sick for months. Was diagnosed by naturopath as having celiac disease, casein and soy intolerance. Have positive ANA but lupus test negative. Lyme disease test neg. Had burning up spine and affected facial nerves, red burning stomach. No fever. Have autoimmune thyroiditis but test was normal with medication. Taking all kinds of supplements prescribed by nutritionist. Still have increased hunger, thirst, mental confusion, spacy, blurred vision, blepharoconjunctivitis, vaginal yeast infection, oral thrush, and sinus problems. Took fasting/glucose test and results were fasting glucose 92, 1 hr glucose 143 & insulin 20.4, 2 hr. glucose 115 & insulin 51.3. Random cortisol 9.6.
24 hr urine collection showed coproporphyrins (tetracarboxyl) as mildly elevated at 146.
My hair is thinning and my skin itches, I have numb feet and muscle weakness.
In spite of all this I was diagnosed by a group of doctors in Western Medicine as having GAD. That was because they wouldn't work with the naturopath and don't know what I have. I have been told that all my labs are normal.
The only other thing I can think of, which is probably an urban myth about flu shots is that I had one for the first time last Oct.
We are frustrated because I keep getting sick and now my medical records are damaged by some idiot psychiatric worker who came in the room when my nervous system was burning and told me I looked anxious. Duh.
I am living in the ***l of others who can't get a diagnosis and are told it's all in their head.
