Similar stomach pains at 5 ~ 6 yrs, never diagnosed, just eventually went away. I don’t remember if stools were normal or not. No diagnoiss I can remember, but I think I occasionally took Paragoric.

About 3 ~ 5 years ago, had occasional stomach discomfort before eating. Full stomach - ok.

About late March ~ early April, few times constipated

Began slowly, about early July
Symptoms increased until about mid July, now (late July) maybe improving slightly on average
Worst day Tuesday 7/28, low energy, sore muscles, sick stomach feeling, light cramping, minor headache
Week of 7/20 few separated days not quite so bad, sometimes feel ok, mostly mid day
Stomach feels slightly irritated, all over
Slightly more uncomfortable spots disappear, reappear, different places and times, usually on right side
Eating likely causes slight temporary discomfort, especially in morning or evening, but improves soon
In first two or three weeks lots of gas, now less
Feels kind of like low level flu that won’t progress and resolve, with just stomach symptoms
Frequent (2 per day or more) bowel movements
Stool often looks like “not fully processed”, for example, floating bits of lettuce, other vegetable items
About two weeks ago lots of stool “floaters”, some pale colored, fewer now.
Consistency anywhere from moderately formed to at least partially watery, most often like lumpy pudding
Most problems in morning and early evening, mid day better but usually not gone though easy to forget
Eating likely causes slight discomfort, especially in morning or evening
Bowel movement likely causes slight discomfort, like light cramping or irritation
Strength and energy slightly low on average (not real bad), good times are ok, bad times are really low
Sometimes wake up chilled
Early day temps about 97.5 F, mid day close to normal, evening about normal or slightly elevated (~99.5)
Appetite usually ok, sometimes low, rarely ravenous
Blood panel - ok, no real problems
Stool lab test - no parasites, said to be normal overall, but was very soft in appearance, little “form”

Just in case (Unusual, but don’t believe connected)
Uncomfortable right side about middle of rib cage, feels like located in ribs
Sore lower back
Right big toe sensitive at tip
Had blister / sore inside right cheek in about 2nd ~ 3rd week of July
Flushing, heated feeling face sometimes results from Niacin - normal. But sometimes recently anal area also

  • Hi Roger. I'm not a doctor, but the pain you've been feeling in your right side sounds like it could be something wrong with your liver or gallbladder; you probably need to have testing, and it probably wouldn't hurt to have your appendix checked too, just in case. I hope you feel better soon. Take care.
