I have had a difficult time catching my breath since 3/07. I have seen my GP and a chest x-ray was done(negative). He tried me on a bronchial dilator,to no avail. I was seen by my gastroenterologist(for constipation which started later)he believes the constipation is hormonal. I will be having a total body CT next week. I have moments of being able to breathe normally and notice that when I am lifting weights or being held tight against my rib cage, or holding my breath I feel better, momentarily.
The problem began when I returned from a trip to FL. Until that time I was breathing fine. Is there anything acute that might have started me on this uncomfortable course?::(

  • Sounds to me like you probably have a rib that is not working right and can't move right when you breathe. I suggest finding a good Chiropractor that has experience in adjusting ribs.I am one and have had patients with the same complaints as yours do well with getting adjusted. Ask a good bunch of friends who they would go to if they needed adjusted, and call the doc most recommended and ask if he / she does ribs specifically. ralph
