I am a 32 yr old female in pretty good health. But for the past 8weeks or so i have been "zoning out" and when i finally "come out" of it i am dazed confused, and unable to remember the date day who i am with or talking to. Generally it is followed by feeling very tired, wiped out and a massive headache. I also feel quite distressed by not being able to remember simple questions my friends ask me.

My Doctor's dont seem to listen and/or take notice and they say to me they arent worried about it as what is happening is my brain's way of trying to cope so it shuts off like a power board or a safety switch. It is beginning to worry me as some days it can happen up to 2 times.

Does anyone know what this could be, or does anyone have any suggestions on how i could get my doctor's to listen and hear how scary that this is. IF anyone has any suggestions about what could be happening or anything i would greatly appreciate it

Regards

  • Have you been to a neurologist? If not, go see one ASAP. You need a complete neurological exam. What you discribe is not just zoning out do to stress. This is not normal. If you did see a neurologist but he did not do any tests, get a 2nd opinion. You do need some tests run.

It sounds as though you may be experiencing a type of seizure known as an absence seizure. You definitely need a comprehensive Neuro. diagnostic work-up, including an EEG. Are you currently taking any routine daily medications for any other medical conditions?Any questions, feel free to email: jonmac391v@comcast.netBest regards,John
