I'm a 19 year old male and for the past 6 months i've been getting really sick every 2 months and nobody knows what's wrong with me. I've been to 4 different doctors and none of them could figure out this disease.
Every 2 months my neck starts to swell up on the sides and I start to develop a fever that sometimes reaches 41ºC (about 105 F). My neck hurts a lot during a period of 5 to 6 days, then the fever starts to disappear and the neck starts to get back to regular size and on the 7th day of illness I return to normal, feeling healthy again.
Doctors have tested me for mononucleosis and cytomegalovirus and I've done a neck ecography. So far the only thing they discovered was that I've had mononucleosis and cytomegalovirus before but it wasn't that that was making me sick.
Can anyone help me? Today I woke up with a swollen neck again, I don't want to repeat a bunch of inconclusive tests and be sick for a week again :(...
PS: I'm portuguese so I'm sorry if my english isn't very good...
