Can a blow to the head cause Vertigo?

Last Sunday I received several blows to the left side of my head causing bruising and swelling around the top portion and left side of my forehead. I also have a pretty good shiner on my left eye.
I am now experiencing a Vertigo sensation approximately 10-20 times per day. I feel like my head is congested. I am not thirsty. I am having a hard time excercising.
Could these blows be the cause of my vertigo and will it just go away with my bruises?

  • Yes and perhaps not. You might be concussed or the blows might have damaged your inner ear. You need to get this checked out.

  • If you look up vertigo on something like google, then yeah, vertigo can be caused by head injuries. And even if you're not thirsty, drink something just so you don't end up dehydrated. And prolly try not to get into too many fights in the future. ;)
