hello friends,

please help me because i am concerned.
Ten days ago i had a small motorcycle accident, i didnt manage to avoid a car in my way an hit it with a few miles per hour with my left calf and then fell. Seconds later my calf was almost double size. Rushed to the hospital, x-rays showed no bone damages. The calf though was in pain and some muscle was hurt and i couldnt lift my lower foot. I had and have sensation of my toes etc.
They kept me in hospital for two days and then send me home to rest. In the first two days the sweeling decreased a little but since then it has remain the same. My right calf is 44cm and the hurted left one is 51cm. This "haematoma" is soft to touch and has a small bruise on it. The doctors from the hospital told me that the liquid might be absorbed otherwise they would have to take it out. Today after a full week with nothing changing i went to another doctor who is supposed to be very good and told me to come back monday morning to open me and clean it, since it too big and wont go away by itself.

Any opinions?

In my case about 4 months. But first used ice everyday for weeks until the swelling and burning pain subsided.Very Painful but better than surgery. I found it very difficult to wear cloths in that area of my leg.Now I don't have a scar but there is a large gray area where it once was. This Hematoma was so bad 3 different doctors sent me for dopplers to check for clots.
