My calves have been swelling on and off for about a year. Initially thought it was related to new meds (for cholesterol), but took myself off for months and still had the periodic swelling. The swelling is most noticeable right behing my knee. Also, I sleep with my legs elevated, but my calves are swollen when I wake up. Also, had hand and feet swelling, but the doc has me on a diuretic that helps with that. Doc has checked out kidney, liver & heart and can't find anything medically wrong. I just turned 50 and am physically active. I play tennis once or twice a week, work out on an elliptical and walk. I have a sit down job during the day. I am a little overweight, but basically have been the same weight for the last 11 years.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
