I had my baby girl on October 1, 2009. She was delivered via emerg c-section. Everything seemed to have gone well, however, it's been 17 months and I still have severe pain (especially during ovulation and my period). Swelling of my abdomen. Nausea, tenderness and deep pain in my lower abdomen and groin area. I have had ultrasound, CT scan and a laparoscopy. Nothing has shown up. I tried 3 different drugs for nerve pain. The dr's are starting to blame me and telling me it's in my head. HELP! I can't handle it anymore!

Was any type of mesh used during your hysterectomy?

  • Just to rule one thing out - do you have pain with intercourse? Was any type of mesh used during your hysterectomy?Hi, I see it's been a while since this post but I was just wondering if you ever got any answers. I am 10 months out of my 2nd section (1st was breech 2nd was attempted vbac with failure to progress :( I am also having issues. I was fine until the 4 month mark. Then urinary frequency with NO infection started a few months later the ab pain/pressure and a sort of burning feeling inside began. Skin still burns and pants hurt and there is this uncomfortable "tingling" feeling that starts in my vg and kind of vibrates up inside. Seems to be triggered by driving of all things. I know how hard it is to focus on your little one when you feel like junk. 3 urologists,3 gynos including the one who delivered me and a million family practice docs later and I was also told its in my head. Don't buy it. They even tried me on anxiety meds. thats a docs cop out when they can't figure out the real prob. Anyway Hope you get better your not alone. I have heard it can take up to 3 years to fully heal inside...idk if that's true. Maybe we have nerve damage? Also heard accupuncture or massage for scar tissue/adhesions could help but havn't tried. Guess I should take my own advise lol. Good Luck! *hug*
