Burning under arms, hot flashes

Starting September 4, I had pain in my lymph nodes under my left arm, in the arm, not beside my breast. It turned into a burning sensation under both armpits, and my underarms appeared swollen. I started having hot flashes, although not to the level of night sweats.

I have three cats, and have had two tick bites this season, but haven't noticed infection or rash. I felt a little better by Sept 10, but went to Doctor (an on-call, not my regular). He said he didn't think it was a tick if no rash, so take Advil.

I didn't feel much better, actually a little worse, and got a prescription for Doxycycline on Sept 13. I have ended up with joint pain, a tingling/sunburn-like feeling on my chest, upper back, inner elbows and knees, upper arms, and a tingling sensation on the soles of my feet and my palms. I still have the burning/tingling under my arms, and the hot flashes. (I am 45, but never had hot flashes before.) Does this sound like lyme? Or something else? Do I need another course of antibiotic? I may have also been exposed to undercooked pork as well. What tests do you recommend? Plan to see my regular doctor in two days.
