For the last few months I have been having a buring sensation in my left armpit. I am constantly having to adjust my arm and armpit because of the uncomfortable feeling.

  • Have you seen a doctor? You have a lot of lymph nodes under your arm pits and they are basically the filtering process for our bodies. I know that when I was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 1/2 years ago, I had "itching" at the site of my tumor. I did not have lymph node involvement, but it could be something like that. I know that there are other things that can cause that.... I'm not trying to scare you that you might have cancer. Any infection could cause irritated lymph nodes, and they could feel itchy from it. The lymph nodes under my chin and at the top of my chest were "itchy" and irritated for months and then I found out that I had a really bad sinus infection. As soon as I took antibiotics, it went away. I would get a full check-up by your doctor if you haven't done that already. Don't settle for an answer that doesn't feel right though. If the itching doesn't go away soon after a "solution" is given, see another doctor! My doctor ignored my lump for nine months because, at 36, I was "too young to have breast cancer"... well, obviously I wasn't. My tumor got to be almost 3cm (which is pretty large) and I was VERY lucky that it hadn't spread in all those months of being ignored. Be persistent if it doesn't feel right. You need to be your own advocate in health care these days.Good Luck!
