I have hot burning feet which feels like i have tight bands around my ankles. My feet feel numb and sometimes have pins and needles. I have had nerve conduction studies , been given numerous injections and medications but still nothing works and no diagnosis has been made - my consultant has discharged me as he feels there is nothing else he can do . Help would be much apreciated - thanks

  • Could be a symptom of Hepatitis A, or diabetes, or (least likely) a neurological condition - but if it was neurological then you would probably notice it ascending. If you suddenly start noticing it ascending after reading this post then it doesn't count.

  • Diabetes and liver disease are the first two things that come to mind. Have you had a liver enzyme panel performed? There are also several other diseases, such as guillain-barre, sarcoidosis, amyloidosis, syphilis, and B12 deficiency which can cause these symptoms depending on how long it's been going on. You might look into some of them if you are having any other symptoms. Good luck.
