I have been trying to find out when just recently in the last 2 weeks I have begun to have symptoms of very painful buring of the face, neck, ears after just take 1 sip of wine or beer. My face really reddens quickly and the heat and pain goes into the redden areas of my face and ears.

I have never had this problem before and can't possibly figure out what it is and my Dr is totally stumped I guess.

Does anyone or has anyone ever had this to happen and if so what was your diagnosis. The Dr doesn't seem to think that it is an allergy though or whatelse could it be.

  • Hi! I just stumbled over your message by accident. :-)What you described pretty much sounds like a niacin flush. As far as I understand people who are low on niacin (aka Vitamin B3) experience the exact same symptoms as you described them, when eating or drinking something that contains it. It is completely normal and not dangerous in any way. It just means that you are low on Vitamin B3.Hal
