My lips has been burning and tingling for about 8 months now, I've seen medical Doctors, Neurologlist,Rheumatology,Dental specialist you name it, They came up with nothing.

Three years ago I go an implant front tooth, thats when the frist burning started. only lasted for a few day. About 1 year later the second burning and tingling started, lasted about 1 week went away. In October of 2008 I got another front tooth implant done and November 29, 2007 the Burning and Tingling started again and has not stoped to this day. I do not feel this burning or tingling while I am sleeping, I do not feel this burning or tingling while I am eating or chewing gum or something in my mouth. My Dentist does relate the burning and tingling to my implants my Doctors only say they don't know.

I need some help, If someone has had these symptoms before please let me know!!!

  • Hi, I see that it has been about 3 years since you posted this. Are you still suffering from this? I too have these symptom which started after a dental implant. In addition to the burning lips, the side of my face and gums are numb and tingly. They've done an MRI and it didn't show anything. I've seen 4 doctors and none of them will say for sure if it was caused by the implant but I feel like it is the cause.
