I have a tendancy to be a little clumsy and throughout this I have bruises everywhere. But lately they have been occuring more than usual even with the slightest bump or poke. Being very fair skinned makes the situation look 10 times worse. Most of the time I have no idea when they happen or how for that matter. They stand out like a sore thumb and it doesn't look very good when I am with my partner

  • In Chinese medicine bruising easily is a sign of Spleen Qi deficiency...are you also easily fatigued? Do you have a good or poor appetite? Huang Qi, or astragalus, is a good tonic for this problem. Also, the western supplement citrus bioflavanoids are also helpful for bruising. Both of these you can find at a good health food store. Increase your leafy greens - kale, collards, swiss chard and spinach. Eat these several times a week should also help. Hope this helps,Doctor of Oriental Medicine
