My brother is 14 yrs old. He was a lively cheeky teenager, great looking lad, blonde hair well built golden colouring.
In the last 6 weeks hes had difficulties breathing, he's gone grey coloured, his hair is like a dark mousy colour, he has no energy at all, sleeps all the time and looks like a concentration camp victim. He must have lost about 1 - 2 stone. Doctors first said chest infection, but it hasnt cleared up. He cant breathe, hes now on brown inhalour - with steroids - not helping. He cant breathe, he cant eat, he cant do anything because of lack of energy. Its getting worse and worse. No one will help.

Been taken to hospital again this morning, just put on nebulizer and some oral steroids for breathing. Please help.

  • Has he been tested for meningitis or anemia?

  • I am so sorry this is happening to your brother. He needs to have blood tests done for liver and kidneys and any kind of signs of cancer. The gray coloring to his skin is clearly a beginning sign of possible organ failure. Or even severe anemia- it causes weight loss, no appetite, extreme fatigue etc. Also, think over what may have caused this to begin- every detail. Since he is losing weight or is like 'a concentration camp prisoner', he needs fluids; probably by I.V. Has he been checked for the swine flu virus? Or had urine tests? Is there a possibility that he has taken drugs- maybe accidently put in his food or beverage? Just keep insisting that the doctors look at him and listen to your concerns. Are there possibilities of blood clots in his lungs. That would cause breathing problems, not getting better, and other symptoms. I hope this helps. Pray a lot. I will too. God bless you and your brother.

  • Have they done an XRAy? My daughter lost weight, was very short of breath, looked like she had AIDS...It was CANCER. Hodgkin's Lymphoma. But it was treatable. She had chemo, radiation and now is in remission.
