Can anyone direct me to a research hospital or more current information on this incureable lung diseses than what I have been finding on the web. The latest info I've been able to find is from 2006. It's like looking for a needle in a haystavck on the internet. Could use some assistance! Would appreciate any and all current info except herbal remedies etc. Thanks,

  • I was having bronchitis very often for several years. I would get an antibiotic and it would go away temporarily. Finally I went to a University Hospital and they did CT Scans and a PET Scan. At first they thought I had cancer because certain lung diseases show up in PET Scans as "hotspots". My sputum sample was sent to National Jewish Lung Hospital in Denver. They grew the culture for 7 weeks and it was determined to be a disease called MAC. National Jewish is the best hospital for lung diseases. People from all over the world go there. Never accept a diagnosis of a lung disease until you have a 7 week culture done on the sputum.I am a 67 year old lady and the treatment was 3 antibiotics for one year. I had a very allergic reaction to them and had to stop.Hopefully you are seeing a good Pulmonologist.
