About a year ago I went to the ER because my bp shot way up(150/110). I could feel tightness in my chest and malaise. I had no prior history w/ high bp. It went down after a few hours and the doctors found nothing abnormal in blood tests or chest x-ray. This was the beginning of many such episodes. The one thing in common is that a bowel movement seems to mark the turn-around point of the episodes. Since the onset, my stools are loose and flat, clay colored at times, and at times accompanied by grease. They sometimes smell like old rotten grease. I have had colonoscopy, abdominal scans, stress test, blood tests, and cannot get a diagnosis.
MORE RECENTLY: The rotten grease smell has not been present. The bp problem has went from random to every night. Waking up in midddle of night with puke coming up- but no food, just bile tasting liquid.
OTHER SYMPTOMS: Bloated, heartburn, weight gain( over 40 lbs in one year), sensitivity to heat, unable to get much air into lungs while singing, stinky semen, swollen face and/or hands at times. I had been getting recurring throat infections. When I would take anti-biotics for these throat infections, I felt better in general for awhile. It makes me wonder if I am also getting other infections that we don't know about.
