bowel symptoms not including pain

for the past year and a half I have been having symptoms with my bowel including: defecating 5-6 times per day, urgent 'having to go' feeling, loose runny light colored stools and oily diarrhea, feeling like I still need to poop after having a bowel movement, gas, and feeling constipated all the time even though I poop too much. sometimes these symptoms go away and i have a more regular BM schedule, but during this time i get hemorrhoid-like symptoms including bright red blood in the feces and itching in the anal area (went to the doctor with these symptoms and he said i do not have hemorrhoids).

some of these sound like symptoms for Irritable Bowel Syndrome, but the main requirement for that is the presence of abdominal pain. i have not experienced cramping, bloating, stomachache or other bowel pain. does anyone have any idea what may be causing these symptoms? i am suspicious that it may be poor diet, i am trying to cut dairy products and sweets out of my diet but it hasn't made much difference so far.
