  • looking for suggested treatments hoping to find something I haven't tried yetBody odor can occur from overactive sweat glands, bacteria in the folds of the skin, or simply an imbalance of body chemicals. Try showering regularly with baking soda in areas that you notice it the worst. First lather with a dye free soap, like Ivory or white Dial, then after you rinse the soap, use baking soda with enough water to form a paste and just use circular motions for at least 30 seconds per area. If you are an overweight individual, remember that bacteria can form in the folds of the skin so you can fight that with wiping those areas daily with hydroxen peroxide. You may be tempted to use scented soaps or lotions but you're just adding more bacteria. Try this and if it still doesn't help, see a dermatologist or your primary care physician.
