Hello. Anytime I cough, laugh hard, or sneeze, my chest begins to itch on the inside. It is difficult to scratch, but the sensation almost drives me wild. It itches on the inside of my chest so I can't scratch it. Actually, it almost feels good, but it gets on my nerves.

My Doctor told me that when I sneeze or cough, I am releasing something, and it is causing me to itch. This started about a year ago, and seems to be slowly getting worst.

Any comment on the itching of my chest would be deeply appreciated. God Bless,

B

I sometimes get itchy when I cough, but in various parts of my body - not on the outside, either. The only thing I can think is that maybe when you cough, laugh, etc., something is happening within your nerves that it producing an itchy sensation?Taken from online: You feel itchy when certain nerves send you a prickly or itchy sensation. Certain nerves in your body are responsible for sensing touch, pain, heat or cold. However, there are others cause itchy feelings. But the problem is that the nerves, which are triggered in your skin and your brain that cause you the itch sensation are the very same ones that cause you the pain sensation when you get hurt.
