I've been experiencing bloody stool for a few months. I've seen a doc about this and all they say is this might be related to stress. Weird. I am 24yrs old very healthy and yes I am stressed but seeing blood in my stool is not normal to me. Also, i feel very bloaded and gassy once this started happening. I tried using high fiber diets and nothing changes.
Has anyone else ever experienced this before and how does it stop?

Most likely, due to ur age, it's a hemorroid(dilated vein of the rectum) especially if u see blood after hard faeces. It could be anal fissure as well, but tht would be extremly painful. The third and most dangerous: rectal or sigmoid cancer. This is very very rare in ur age, but also very agressive. To make sure, u should do a rectosigmoidoscopy, to rule out this third possibility.hope this helps

  • Hi, I experienced bloody stools in terms of a very black stools. Anyway, I started feeling very tired and weak, so I went to the doctors. He sent me to the emergency room. Turns out, I had a bleeding ulcer. The stools are black when the ulcer is high up, and more bloody when it is low. I also experienced alot of gas. i would get it checked out, cause it can be serious. I had to have minor surgery, Mark age 32 ps. The tiredness was from anemia from losing blood. How freeky!!!!!

  • Go to the doctor and ask for a colonoscopy. It's past time for it. You could have something like crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. Check out the website for CCFA.com. That's the crohn's and colitis foundation of America and they will list the symptoms. The sooner you find out what is wrong wtih you, the sooner you can get good treatment. Bloody stools does not normally mean cancer - so go get some good care now and have that test done.
