I go without using eye drops and there is no reduction in redness
Could this be Ocular Rosacea ?

  • There are different kinds of eye drops. Have you tried drops for "dry eye"? I have had this for years and it is brought on by irritants such as smoke and dust etc. It felt like a brillo pad was stuck behind my eyes. Visine didn't help with the condition, but it did help with the redness. Artificial tears helped. You can get them over the counter at different strengths. If it is severe your eye dr probably has samples. Mine does. Good luck.

  • thanks for your fast reply Yes I have tried visine my eye specialist seems to think the problem is over use of this.I have tried tears plus aswell. All the doctors keep telling me to stop using clear eyes etc but they should try dealing with people when you have bright red eyes, your confidence is zero. I know these products do not help my problem in the long term but this problem was just as bad if not worse pre visine/clear eyes. I have done abit of research and Ocular Rosacea ? fits my symptoms but don't know what to do next?

  • If you go into the International Rosacea Foundation website, at the bottom of the screen there is a clinicl trial you can inquire about. Lots of luck.
