I recently noticed that I have been bloading and ******g a lot, which never happened before. Also when I just sit down to do bowl movements I get this brown liquid discharge out of my anus with some loud passings. What can this be? I also found out that I might have a hamroid, can a hamroid cause all this? My stomach has never felt this bloated before. HELP.

  • Dysbiosis or intestinal imbalance. Could be a myriad of reasons - parasites, food allergies and intolerances, antibiotic usage, poor diet, excessive stress, Crohn's disease, just to name a few. One thing for sure: your gut is your immune system and it is of the utmost importance that it be taken care of! I dont know if you have seen a doctor or have had any tests run? In the meantime, I would take note of what happens when you eat or drink, keep a list of everything you eat and drink and what and how long after the reactions. Are you taking any medications? If so, which ones? I know that Fosamax can have this effect. In the very least you need to be taking a probiotic EVERY day - Garden of Life makes a very good product called PRIMAL DEFENSE. Bio-K is a very good probiotic, too. Best wishesSophie

  • I had the same symptoms and was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. When I get really stressed or worried about something it will act up. There is medications of course, but they contain aspirin which I am allergic to. So, he gives me a rectal medication that you squeeze up in there and hold overnight. It is easy and not hard to hold at all. After a week or two of treatment, I am fine. I usually get an attack one or two times a year. Go see a GI doctor. They may want to do a colonoscopy. it is no big deal at all, just the prep for it. Good Luck.

  • How old are you? My bowel function has deteriorated in my forties, and my constipation and bloating have been chronic for years. Has anything changed in your life around the time your problem started? Diet? Stress? Take care of your body - it doesn't get better with age.

  • I've also experienced this in the last 5 years or so - very sporadic, but oftentimes, when it does occur . . . very embarrassing. I'd had a few Irritable Bowel - type episodes as well, which are more dramatic and need to be relieved immediately by a BM. I'm 41 now. What I have found that works is Gax-X, Maximum Strength - 166mg. Take right as you eat or right before. Seems to do the trick, at least for the milder occasions of just bloating / gas.

  • I have had UC for 20 years now. I was supposed to get regular colonoscopies since 1988, but I only got the one colonoscopy in 1988. For all I know, I have cancer now. But I feel ok, and my stools are fine. Inititally when it was diagnosed in '88, I took prednisone and flagyl but only for a couple weeks, then I discontinued use, and everything has been fine for the last 20 years.Except one little thing. I have extremely foul gas which is almost pure H2S (Hydrogen sulfide). It can clear a room in mniutes. It is just terrible. I have been enduring it for 20 years now, and so has everyone else. I should go to a Doctor to find out what can stop the H2S leaks. I have no control over the "venting" of this near-lethal gas.If you understood how foul it was, you would not even be laughing. Oh, also I drink tons of soda. That has got to be bad for it, I imagine. If there is any Doctor out there, please post here and help me. What can I take to neutralize this horrible H2S ???

  • Check your diet. Reduce red meats and processed foods. Make up a Trigger Lists to see which foods affect you the most. Eat wholemeal and fresh foods.
