I am posting on here as I unable to get a diagnosis as yet. I have had a number of tests and am scheduled for some more but it is driving me mad as no-one seems to able to say what the problem is.
For the last 2 years I have been having heavy bleeds. Normally what happens is I go to the toilet and wipe myself and it's there. There is so much of it that by the time I wipe it has gone everywhere (front and back) so it is impossible to tell where it came from. The pan is also full and there will also be blood in my underwear for a bit after. This happens roughly every 1 to 2 weeks.
My GP's first instruction was to come off the pill which I have been for a year. It seemed to help at first but then it all started again.
I was then sent for an internal exam and smear which came back ok.
Now they have changed tac and I had a telescope up my rear end to check for piles etc which came back fine. I have now been scheduled for a colonoscopy to check further up. Whats driving me mad is that I don't feel like anyone has a clue and this has been going on for 2 years. My gut is also telling me that the problem is with my reproductive area rather then my back passage.
I have had no extreme weight loss (actually I have gained weight) so feel it can't be anything to serious, although I have developed a lot of back pain of late.
Does anyone have any ideas what this could be as it is taking over me life.
