For the last few months i have been bleeding after sexual intercourse. I have seen my GP about this and have had 2 swabs done and no infections have been found. She has looked and found the cervical wall to be healthy with no inflammation visible and no pollyps. She is now referring me on to a specialist. I'm very very worried as you can imagine, can anyone help me find out whats wrong??? please help........  :( :(

  • We have the same name lol. Bleeding after sexual intercourse is very common for some women. If your doctor has ruled out any physical problems, then most likely it could be just how your body reacts as a sort of cleansing routine. Another reason could be certain kinds of birth control most commonly Depo Provera, Ortho Evra, and other forms of BC than contain high amounts of hormones. If this might be the case I suggest switching to a low hormone form of BC such as Nuva Ring. Just don't worry yourself, most of the time there is no cause for concern with post sexual bleeding. I hope this helps, ~Nicola ;)
