  • Best to check with your doctor just to be sure.Things to keep in mindDid you have a vaginal birth with your children? (especially the youngest)did you need to get stitches or rip or need an episiotomy?Even though your youngest is now 10 months old, if you had any scar tissue from ripping or an episiotomy this can cause the ripping and bleeding during sex.try to determine the SOURCE of the bleeding. does it seem to be more internal or could it be on the outer part of the vagina?Scar tissue doesn't have much elasticity so it's easier to rip, so that may be the cause of the bleeding.i've heard of people having pain from scar tissue up to a year or more after the fact.however, if the bleeding seems to be internal than i would advise to speak to your doctor just to be sure there's no internal damage causing the bleeding.

  • I had the same issue, but without the birthing history. Are you on birth control? I was on Ortho Tri-cyclen Lo at the time. I went to my gyn and he did a pap and felt around. He poked my cervix and it began to bleed! He said it was most likely because of the birth control. SO he switched me to a birth control with the same level of hormones throughout the month. He wanted to try that to see if it helped before he did anything else. Turns out that solved my issue. Apparently, birth controls can soften your cervix and cause it to bleed from being "bumped" during sexual intercorse. Best to check with your doctor though! Good luck :)

  • Other potential would be that he hit the cervix when thrusting.childbirth can cause the cervix to stretch out to the point where it starts to invert itself, causes bleeding during sex. can be repaired by cauterizing or silver nitrite.

  • Hope someone can help....deviating slightly from the subject. Got really drunk at the weekend and I can't Remember how a thing. One of best mates was staying with me at the time and he was also really drunk. None of us can remember if we have had sex. So my question is this: can you get a test at your doctors to check? What time period will this test be effectiv untill? Also I have had baths and showers since, would washing internally make a difference to a test? Many thanks regretfull

If you/or she are on the pill, then there isn't much to really worry about other than STD's, crabs, and the ever haunting question of did or didn't we that will cause tension between you. So, wait two or three weeks, get an AIDS and pregnancy test, if they are both clean, assume the best and move on. Second, might take a lesson from this and not get so blasted that you can't remember important details, because it might not be just a sex thing next time, it could be an alcohol coma or death. That is how close you both were. If you can't remember, then your BAC had to be over 0.30 and at 0.40 your breathing can stop.
