After a sever case of constipation, I noticed that same day that there was something "hanging"
out of my vagina, about the size of 1-1/2 ". The hanging is not painful, and I think that it could
be my bladder which may have dropped due to the sever constipation and the strain of trying to
go to the bathroom. What is it? Could it be my bladder, or something else? I am quite panicked
at the moment, and cannot reach my doctor by phone. Please, someone help!

  • HiIf you are female you could be experiencing a gentital prolapse.http://www.womhealth.org.au/factsheets/genital_prolapse.htmThis is more likely than your bladder descending.I had this after some nasty constipation while staying with a friend so I could not go to the doctors.I just pressed it back up and then did tons of kugal ( i think that is the spelling) exercises. You know the ones where you clench all the muscles you can down there.I also support that area with a paper protected hand when I have to push with a lot of pressure when the constipation re-occurs..I could go into more detail but lets just say that this can help with constipation too due to the anatomical designof the last part of the colon which is a bit like a shelf.I hope this helps.

I did finally contact the doctor who examined and yes indeed, the walls of my vagina collapedto a "grade #2) I have been doing those excercises, and will be getting further tests soon. The problem was constipation, and amtrying to control same. You are the ONLYperson who answered me. For that I am grateful. Seems that one is all alone with thesetypes of problems, or other women do not want to discuss in public. Gratefully yours,Besmart
