Well basicly here is my problem it all started christmas eve when i was watching a movie laying down until when i got up to get something to eat and my vision almost went totally black and it scared the crap out of me. And now ever since then it does the samething and what i thought it was at first was my diet cause i am trying to lose some weight and of course i was doing it the wrong way by not eating much but now that im eating i am still having this problem(not as bad tho). I also now have headaches on the top of my head closer to left side, behide my left eye sometimes, and around my left temple which comes and goes also with a stiff neck on the back left side. Sometimes i have noticed that my heart beats pretty hard sometimes like when im nervious and i can actual see my chest move. Thats pretty much all i can say now about it and about my headaches i think they might also be caused by a pretty bad cavity i have with has actually eaten some of my tooth away(also on left side lower jaw tho):( but im getting fixed thursday.

Thanks for the help,
Will

  • Well, Will, the vision thing sounds like a lowering of blood pressure when standing. It's called 'Postural Hypotension' and happens to me all the time. It's mostly harmless...just make sure you dont go bouncing up from laying down. Could be related from your diet, if it's extreme and you aren't taking care of yourself properly. As for seeing your chest move with your heartbeat...I think that's normal. I've been watching mine do that for years! The headaches could be from the tooth problem, especially if it's on the same side as the tooth. Sounds like migraines though, being around the temple and the eye. I hope you feel better soon.

  • I have been in recovery for anorexia for 2 months and when I wasn't eating I was orthostatic all the time. You are probably dehydrated too. Headaches and dizziness are common with dehydration. Have you tried gatorade?

  • I too had the same thing happen to me. It lasted for 6 years or so. I found out I have a thyroid problem, and got on meds and haven't done it since. Also, you said you are on a diet. Do you find it hard to lose the weight? Are you fatigued a lot? I don't want to say it's your thyroid, but it might not hurt to have that checked, you may just have a very mild problem, so you don't have other symptoms. But again, it could be something else. Good luck.
