Hi everyone, I need some help. My boyfriend is in britain and he recently was VERY ill. He was vomiting and had diahrrea and a fever of 106 degrees with sever stomach cramps. The hospital aparently would not send an ambulance and although I was not there, I know he is lucky to be alive. Now the doctors dont even know what it was, they havent even bothered to test him, but my guess is some kind of food poisoning. I guess he is going to the clinic tomorrow.

What I want to know is, could he have brain damage? He seems a bit...different. And he has NO sex drive whatsoever whereas before he was insatiable. He will look at his favourite pics now, and feel nothing aparently. I am afraid the fever has given him damage to the effect that it has destroyed his sex drive. It could just be that hes ill and still isnt back to normal. He says he still feels like **** and is very fatigued and weak. This is over a week now that hes been sick, though. What I am afraid of is if he has brain damage that affects his sex drive, what else is it affecting? Could it be permanent? What other damage could there be? I am so worried, I'm beside myself and its made worse by the fact that I'm 6,000 miles away.

Thank you all in advance for any help.
