I get a really sharp pain in my belly button every once in a while. It does not happen very often, but when it does happen it is when I stand up. I usually feel a small pain in my penis (although not everytime).

I am 24 years old and in good general health.

Any ideas?

  • does the navel hurt if pressed on?if so,possibly infection :very common, easily treated.however i am guessing that it is a result of a small comstriction of a nerve in your spine, which is why it hurts when you stand up.not a lot you can do about that ,i think.it is not life threatening, and in the scale of suffering, not much to put up with.dont try exercising your way out of it.you may make it worse.exercise is not the answer to everything.
