I'm a 30 year ol woman. I'm not pregnant but I've been holding extra water for the past 2 months. Primarily it's in my upper/lower stomach (abdomen), lower back, hips and thighs.
I thought maybe I was gaining weight (fat) so I kicked up my cardio regimen. I'm pretty lean for a woman. My body fat% is between 16-18. I exercise frequently (5 to 6 days a week), but even more-so the last 6 weeks to try and get rid of this extra weight. I'm drinking more water (and only water), I've cleaned up my diet the past 6 weeks as well and I've had minimal changes.
It is extremely abnormal the way I'm holding water weight and I'm starting to get a little worried. I do have Crohn's Diease (diagnosed March 1998) and am wondering if there's something going on lately with my lower GI system. My stomach is VERY distended, awkward looking and feeling.
I sometimes feel lower abdominal pain and I have noticed that I have to urinate more often but when I do, nothing much comes out.
I have researced kidney disorders, UTI's and pregnancy-but they don't seem like any of my symptoms.
Does anybody have a clue about this???? I would really appreciate your insight.
