3 months ago i went in for a gull bladder surgery during the surgery the surgen repaired a Hernia. Since then i've been experiencing pain in that area and lump has been emerging near the hernia surgery. Now i have finally been seen by the surgeon and she told me that problem is that my Hernia has reaccured and it is due to her just stitching it, instead of using a plastic mesh. Which she said the reason why she did not use it, is becuase she thought it would have cause an infection due to the bad gull bladder.
I want to know if this surgeon was just careless and forgot to use the plastic mesh which inturn caused the hernia to reopen, or if this is something common.
