  • People seem to be having problems with tonsil stones which apparently taste and smell horrendous - they are little white or other color clumps that hide behind tonsils. You can hurt yourself digging around back there so be careful. I assume you have seen a dentist or ENT - if not, you should. Tonsil stones (tonsilloths, cavernous tonsil) can cause bad breath - bad - like a sweet foul salty taste that may get worse at times)Try rinsing with warm salt water if that is safe for you to do - see if that helps - lean head back and really swish it back there. I have read that people use water piks to help loosen these or to find them - or they gently pull the flap around the tonsil back to see if there are any there with a moistened q tip with water or mouthwash. But BE careful - maybe ask dr first and if you use a water pik, use a low setting cause they can cause damage with the pressure. Try to brush back even further. Use an antibacterial mouth rinse maybe for gums - I would also see a stomach dr. (gastroenterologist).Gerd, acid reflux can cause bad breath - other symptoms are feeling something in your throat, burning, regurgitation of food and drinks, etcTomato sauce, rich fatty foods, coffee, caffeine, alcohol and spicy foods can make GERD worse - a stomach med would heal it if you had it. See an ENT and gastro to get to bottom of this - Drinking too much juice like orange juice increases acid in stomach and can make worse - A lot of juices have garbage corn syrup and other sugary ingredients in them. Try getting organic ones to see if that helps. Maybe you would like green tea unsweetened or with lemon instead of the juices with all the sugar in them.Increasing water intake is huge - Mix your drinks 1/2 and 1/2 maybe - half juice, half water. good lucki had bad breath for 4 years now and i dont know whyi brush every day twice and clean my tongbut i rarely drink wateri drink juices alot and eat diffrent foodsso whats the problem is it sinus or mucus or tonsils ?????
