I have had back pain off and on for about 2 years now. I had xrays which showed something abnormal. The doctor said that it could be anything from a fracture to just gas showing on the xray. Then I had a bone scan which showed no abnormalities. I then did physical therepy for two months with no change in the pain. So then I went to an osteopath for osteopathic manipulative therepy with little improvement I just stoped going and gave up on that. I had pain after that off and on but now the pain is different than the pain I once experienced. Now if I sleep more than about five hours at a time I get really bad back spasms. I try to sleep in a way that is good for my back- on my side with a pillow between my knees, a pillow under my head and I hold onto a pillow as well. Sometimes the painful lower back spasms go away after being out of bed for a few hours but sometimes they can last a lot longer. The spasms get worse if I bend over or especially when I sit down. Anyone have any ideas on what could be causing these spasms and how to prevent/treat them? Thank you so much! :)Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
