I have suffered from severe anal itching for a number of months now. I have no symptoms like; swelling, rash, hemorrhoids, pinworms, etc. I have tried Preparation H, Tucks pads, Aveeno, even Gold Bond (ouch!). Nothing seems to work. It is so bad I can't go out to public places. I have not gone to a doctor yet as I am currently in a foreign country. Does anyone have any ideas how to treat this?

  • You could have a Candida Infection of the Digestive System that can cause anal itching.

  • You may be allergic to something you are eating or drinking. I know a man who gets uncontrollable anal itching if he drinks too much diet coke. Don't know why, but it goes away when he cuts down on it. You may want to try ruling out certain foods/drinks.
