Arm pit lumph

doctor i have been a lump in right arn pit.i have find it at first in 1992 in that region.That lump is still at that position at january 2007.the lump is not increasing or decreasing in size,and it is painless.therefore i am very worried sir,please
tell me what is this ,is it cancer lump?

  • im not a doctor, but i can tell you that if it has been there since 1992 it's not cancer

  • thanks for reply sir..........now i am becoming relax.actually i found it below my right arm pit when i was in 9th class in 1992.now i am B.E. s/w engineer 2007.is it necessary to go to doctor?can u tell me ,are cancer lumps painfull?whats symtoms of cancer lump?thanks for reply again

  • I do think that you should go the the doctor. Most breast cancers start in the arm pit reigion of the breast.

  • I have read that below the arm pit there are lymph nodes,these nodes filter nodes.i have lumph below arm pit and size of that lumph is small and this size has been unchanged since 1992 when i had found it.It is painless.I am male with 54 wight.i am not fat,then i am confused?please help

  • it's a gland..unchanged for that many years...no growth? Everyone has them...some are easier to feel.

  • I would suggest you get to a doctor right away! I have had four people in my family die from Non Hodgkins Lymphona (Type II B aggressive)- which is an aggressive cancer of your lymph nodes. Lymph nodes are located all over your body (including armpits), but symptoms of NHL are enlarged nodes in expecially your armpits. Enlarged meaning that you can feel them.
