Hi - I have been following this site for a while but have never posted. I have taken some great ideas from other's but was hoping to get some help for myself.

I'm a 30 year old female who has headaches daily. I haven't been one single day in the past 9 years without a headache. Pain meds do not work. I have had ever test I can think of run. MRI, CT, Lyme, Thyroid, BP. Doc cannot figure it out.

In the past 6 months I have been having increasing muscle weakness and pain in both arms and legs. The arms and elbow area are much worse than the knees though. My family doctor is great ad will try anything to help me feel better. She sent me to an orthopedic that said it was tennis elbow. Tried the PT and it is actually worse.

I also have a very low energy level. I know that part of the reason is the headaches. I never feel like exercising because my head always hurts. I would really appreciate any help. I'm really at my wits end. I truely an a happy person. If I could just get rid of some of these pains I would be great!

Thanks so much for any help!!!

  • It depends what kind of headaches they are. Neck/ upper back problems can give symptoms very like tennis elbow and this could be possibly the source of your headaches also.

  • Thanks - neuro says they are migraines but I really don't believe it. I don't see the aura, rarely nauseous. None of the meds have ever helped either. I have a lot of neck pain and a very stiff neck. Also one or both of my eyes generally hurt right behind the eyeballs. My arms are losing strength daily. I am almost at he point where I can't even dry or brush my own hair. Thanks for any and all help

  • If your eyes are hurting on movement or it is a sudden stabbing pain, this might suggest a nerve problem. If it is more of a continuous pain it could be sinus related (that would explain your headache as well). You need to get your neck seen to because it won't get better by itself. There are good stretching exercises that can help but somebody should look at it first.

  • How about some massages? Or jacuzzi type soaks? Are you addicted to caffeine? Just some suggestions.

  • Hi I was thinking about the muscle weakness (I am no GP but my mum had similar) there is a condition called polymyelitis which causes severe weakness in both the arms and legs and treatment is mostly via steroids. My mum had this but she was in her 60's when diagnosed.Just a suggestion, don't know if that would cause headaches though?Hi - I have been following this site for a while but have never posted. Hope that helps,PhysioAdvisor
