Hello, I was a seemingly healthy 35 y/o female a year ago, until I woke up one morning with acute, bilateral swelling and pain in my hands. At the time my ESR, CBC, CRP, ANA, Lymes, were all negative. Within a month, the pain had spread to nearly every joint in my body and was accompanied by extreme fatigue. RF, DS-DNA, SS-DNA, CBC, ESR, CRP, CMP, all WNL. Four months after the onset of joint pain, my thyroid became enlarged, followed by my parotid and submandibular glands. Thought to be of viral origin, the connection between the joint pain and salivary glands inflammation was dismissed. Six months later, I had to stop working due to the pain and fatigue. Lyric was started 3 months ago with great improvement in pain, associated with a much higher quality of life. Now my salivary glands are inflamed and once again I look like I have the mumps. I am also nauseated, decreased appetite, and very constipated. My mouth and throat are dry but not bad enough to be considered cotton mouth. My doctor sent another round of blood work, including ANA and markers for Sjogren's which are not back yet. If this is not sjogren's, what other dx do we need to considered?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
