Hello, I was hit in the face while looking up in Feb. 2 weeks later my legs gave out. I spent 8 days in hospital and 1 month after getting out of hospital still cannot walk more then 100 yards without shooting pain up and down my back. I get chest pains off and on now and also my toes and parts of my feet go numb and tingle as well as my hands and fingers. I have a constant migraine since feb. no pain meds.being taken. The only thing they found is herneated dics (5) 2 in upper cervical and 3 in lower lumbar. along with Athritus in both cervical and lumbar. My mid back never hurt before but now also hurts. My vision has changed also.
I go to a new dr. wed. any advise on what I should be asking etc.
any sugestions would be great!!!!
I just want to get better so i can go back to work.
Thank you!

  • Could be whiiplash-like. Have you seen a good chiropractor? Physical therapy? Hope you got their number and have a good lawyer.

  • No I have not seen a chrioprator I did see a Physical therapist when I was in Hopsital and he gave me more information then any Dr. there did. He suggested therapy 3 times a week with a neck stretcher device forgot exact name of it. Workers comp sent me to there Dr. and he told me to go sit at home for 2 weeks and do nothing until I got new MRI's. That is when I got an attorney and finally a month later get to see a new DR. no Dr. so no pain meds either. This happened at work. I have an attorney but he is not doing much either until I see this Spine Dr. to see if he states it could be work related or not. My work at time of injury is fighting the claim (about $75,000 in medical bills so far) and I have gotten no time loss income or anything. That is why I need to know correct questions to ask the Dr. So I do not or the Dr. does not miss anything. i just do not see how someone who hikes 4-5 hours 2 times a week and camps, walks, very outdoor active and worka holic is now a prisoner at home and they say it is not work related I never had any issues prior to my injury. I say for any one who wants to know how I feel and what i am dealing with every day: look straight up at the ceiling and have someone drop a box that weights about 5-8 pounds from about 3-4 feet above you and see how far you feel it in your body and then people can know what I am dealing with and why I have so much pain. I make it through each day knowing everything happens for a reason and I know other people are in worse shape then myself and i am furthering my education rather then having any pitty parties. I just want answers so I can get what ever treatment is needed to get better and move forward. That is why I decided to try this for suggestions as well. Thank you!
