Hiya everyone.
Wonder if anyone can shed any light or has the same problem as me?
For as long as I can remember I have suffered with mouth ulcers. Doctors did tests as a child, could find no underlying cause and said that in time i would grow out of it. i wouldn´t have them all the time, they would come and go, but often take a couple of months to clear up. Not just one either, a mouthful.
Now at 35, I´m still waiting to grow out for them!
But now I have more symptoms.. every few months i go through what seems a cycle of being well, then I get really tired, get the glands in my kneck coming up, sore throat (but no lesions that can be seen), the mouth ulcers, and my whole body generally feels weak and sensitive to anything. Sometimes I may even feel like I am coming down with flu too, but it doesn´t escalate to anything more than that. I have had blood tests in the past, The doctors find nothing. They tested for glandular fever. I have even tried changing my lifestyle to see if that helps (not do too much, to wear myself out) , gentle exercise etc, hardly drink, don´t smoke, but that doesn´t help either. I am so sick of it. I would just like to feel well!!!!! What could it be and how can i get better?? does anyone get this??? I also have scabs in my scalp that come and go too. I am 35. I have had quite a few probs in the past with an eating disorder, depression. I am on anti-depressants too (and hoping to come off them at some point soon) I am working alongside a psychologist for this... But at the moment want to feel better physically!!!
Thanks to anyone who take the time to read and reply.
:)

  • I initially thought a vitamin deficiency, and then you said you have had eating disorders. It could just be a severe Vit B deficiency, which could cause mouth sores and skin eruptions. Nutritional research may be indicated. You should have a dermatologist check out the sores on your head when you get them.
