I suffer from chronic migraines, low back pain, foot numbness and intermittinted hand/ arm pain. I know these symptoms are connected because when I get a headache the rest of me feels worse. My doctors are only treating the symptoms but not treating the whole picture. I have asked and asked and no one is willing to listen to me and put all these symptoms together like they should be lumped. This has to be something neurologicalish.

  • where u have pain in your back, is it due to a spinal cord injury?sliped disks and pinched nerves?spinal cord injuries can cause weird things to happen in your limbs like pain and nunbness.if it was not for my slip disks and pinched nerves in my t-spine, i would have never gotton an MRI SCAN. and if it was not for that MRI SCAN, i would have never known that i have a hole in my spinal cord! this whole is called a syrinx and they found it in my c-spine. i also found out that if the hole gets bigger/syrinx grows in diamiter that i could potentially lose mobility in all my limbs and be a vedgitable (worst case scenario)just remember that all your nerves in your entire body run thru your spine, and spinal cord injury, sliped disks, pinched nerves and such seem to be alot more common these days.

  • I also do have a syrnix but that is not the cause of the headaches. Mine is located L-5, S-1 area. That might explain some of but not all the problems. Like I stated I do believe these are all interconnected. There is something wrong with my nervous system. What is the question.

  • not sure, my next step was to see a nurologist but i never went... lack of insurrance at the time. since then i was approved for ssd and medical benifits so now i can schedule that appt. the source of your injury or syrnix is a good start, when was your last MRI? look at your paper work to see what they mesured its diamiter, the only way to see if your cavity/hole got bigger is to get another MRI and have them remesure it. i would only assume that if it had gotten bigger since the last time you checked then that would be your main focus for newer syptoms. i have not looked into treatment options because this whole thing freaks me out and makes me worry alot.hopefully you only have a pinched nerve in your lower back where the pain is..... for instance, my mother had a pinched nerve in her neck for a few months and her entire arm fell asleep/went numb and she lost sensation to her middle, ring, and pinky fingers. she said if u cut her fingers off that she probly wouldnt feel a thing >.<

Have you been checked for diabetes?? in case of this. Diabetes can cause neuropathy (numbness and pain) as it can damage nerves and one can get headaches (with the high sugar)
