I have been having symptoms in the groin and mouth region chronically for the past four months. I have been tested for all STD's including herpes several times...and my last round of testing came 14 weeks after my last possible chance to have gotten an STD

Mouth Symptoms:

Sore/Irritated Lips
Chronic/Random sore throats
Little white sores on the inside of my mouth
Red "lines/sores" on the top and bottom of my tongue
Overall irritation of interior mouth
I have not gotten a cold sore during this time

Groin Symptoms:

chronic burning/tingling/irritation of the left side of the penis and testicles
hair folicles become a little more red and irritated
no blisters, etc.

I have exhausted herpes tests and all other STD testing.

Any thoughts or comments?

  • Its clearly an STD.. these are often transmitted by filthy prostitutes and sharing needles. Most likely you have herpes.

  • Yeast overgrowth sounds possible as it sounds like you might be describing oral thrush.

  • Candidiasis ("yeast" infection) can cause many of these symptoms. Check out doctorfungus.org for extremely reliable and up-to-date information. Good luck.
